What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARISTA FULL TIME position at SCARLET PEARL CASINO RESORT?
The Barista is first and foremost responsible for customer relations and satisfaction, building relationships and work effectively in a team environment. Will create an environment of food exploration, innovation and dedication for customers and Associates. Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories and supplies. Prepares and serves a variety of coffee drinks, along with food.
Essential Job Duties:
Prepares and sells quality coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, expresso, cafe latte and cappuccino. Also, follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu.
Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude by building relationships and connecting with the customer.
Discovers and responds to customer needs in a timely manner.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Enhances coffee shop reputations by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Stocks products and maintains shelves/stock, organize and arrange books and merchandise as appropriate.
Performs other duties as directed.
Job requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
1 years previous Barista/food service experience required.
High School Degree or equivalent.
Ability to safely operate coffee equipment as necessary.
Previous experience in a coffee shop, café environment (preferred).
Detail-orientation in performing accurate transactions.
Self-motivated and multi-tasks with minimal supervision.
Proactively meets both internal and external customer needs.
