What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAFE COOK II FULL TIME position at SCARLET PEARL CASINO RESORT?
DESCRIPTION:
Assist with and eventually prepare A La Carte and Café food items. Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow all production and storage guidelines and procedures, ensure recipes have been followed and orders are delivered in a timely manner. Must be able to work in most stations in the kitchen, assisting the Cook III in day-to-day tasks. Implement all OSHA, ServSafe and HACCP standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum two (2) years related experience and/or culinary training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A La Carte experience preferred.
Must have knowledge of quality food, food preparation, food preservation, as well as a positive attitude in training and working with others.
Knowledge of all kitchen equipment and knives.
Ensure the functionality, safety and proper use of all kitchen equipment.
Knowledgeable of sanitation practices to ensure standards and regulations have been followed.
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout shift.
Must be able to stoop, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Other physical requirements include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, and pounding, stretching, and kneeling
Must be able to work in close quarters or small rooms; occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
