What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE TECH I FULL TIME position at SCARLET PEARL CASINO RESORT?
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Provide preventative maintenance and repairs. Active team member in all aspects of the Facilities Department., including but not limited to, painting, cleaning, preventative maintenance, filter changes, moving material, etc. This work will be performed inside and outside of the Facility to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained casino & hotel environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Educational skills gained through attainment of an associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education or practical work experience.
Must have a certification in a trade and/or 1 to 4 years’ experience in facilities maintenance.
Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license with a clean driving record to meet driver eligibility requirements of Scarlet Pearl Casino’s insurance policy.
Basic knowledge of the hvac system, alarm system, and generators.
Ability to perform basic painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property with guidance from supervisor personnel.
Must be efficient, organized, and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines; must be able to work independently.
Must be able to safely and effectively operate hand and power tools.
Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
