Description
Responsible for preparing handcrafted pizza for customers eat in, pick-up, and delivery. They also assist with operating all kitchen equipment, maintaining the kitchen and show area, as well as cooking other restaurant menu items and packaging food items. Will also be responsible for Pizza’s presentation, making sure it is ready for customer consumption. This either involves plating the item appropriately, placing it on display or packaging and wrapping the item appropriately for delivery. The pizza maker is also responsible for maintaining appropriate temperature and freshness of food. Follows all OSHA, ServSafe and HACCP standards. Will also assist in other Food & Beverage venues as needed
Essential Job Duties:
Possessing recipe reading, measurement, and operating kitchen equipment skills.
Previous Pizza preparation experience
Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and rules, policies and procedures.
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any request.
Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
Completing opening and closing checklists. Reporting to supervisor on arrival and when leaving.
Is well groomed and in good appearance with proper personal hygiene.
Attends all scheduled meetings, participates, and brings suggestions.
As the Pizza Maker gains some experience, he or she will typically become responsible for training newer Kitchen employees, showing them accurately how to prepare food items.
Job requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 2 years related experience and/or culinary training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have working knowledge of quality food and food preparation, as well as a positive attitude in training and working with others.
Must have working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and kitchen knives.
Ensure the functionality, safety and proper use of all kitchen equipment.
Knowledgeable of sanitation practices to ensure standards and regulations have been followed.
Advanced knowledge of weights, measures, and mixing techniques and ability to follow production sheets and recipes.
Must be able to use oral, written and reading communication skills of the English language.
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout shift.
Must be able to stoop, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Other physical requirements include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, and pounding, stretching, and kneeling
Must be able to work in close quarters or small rooms; occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
