Scarsella Bros., Inc. is a family owned Heavy Highway Construction Company headquartered in Kent, WA. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our Accounting department.
Essential duties/responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Match/Code/Enter Vendor Invoices accurately
Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies
Reconcile accounts payable entries/accounts
Ensure invoices are posted to correct GL accounts
Research tax rules
Process expense reports and review for accuracy
Assist with weekly check runs
Troubleshoot and resolve invoice discrepancies
Process credits
Resolve vendor issues
Reconcile accounts payable GL
Maintain Vendor W-9s and vendor database
Assist with month end close
File/Scan/upload invoices
Backup front desk reception
Qualifications/requirements:
2-3 years experience in similar role
Must be highly organized
Works well in a team environment
Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Superior ability to multi-task with high level of accuracy
Strong math skills
10 key by touch
Experience answering multiline phones
Intermediate to advanced computer skills
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Experience with Timberline a plus
Education/Training:
Minimum Associate degree, Bachelors degree preferred; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

401K:Employer Sponsored 401K Program; Safe Harbor 3% of Employees Salary after 90 days, plus a match of 1.5% after 1 year.
PTO:May accrue up to 120 hours per year.
Holidays:7 Days; New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas.
