Community is not something that can be learned through rules, handbooks, or definitions, but rather something that can only be sought and discovered by willing individuals. Our philosophy concentrates on preparation for life, which involves promoting academic achievement, fostering a responsible and confident self-image in our students, and encouraging personal commitment to the extended community.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Teach three math courses (Or two math courses and one computer science course)
- Plan and deliver instruction, as well as measure and report progress to facilitate student development.
- Develop a curriculum that stimulates student curiosity, and helps them get excited about math.
- Teachers are expected to have frequent communication with students and school staff in ways that nurture a healthy learning experience for students.
- Attend regular meetings, including Staff Meetings, Community Meetings, and Meetings for Worship.
- Serve as a Crew Leader
- Model the values of Scattergood Friends School
- All full-time teachers also assume some of the following additional duties to contribute to the community: leading crew and trips, dorm sponsoring, general supervision, and/or teaching elective courses.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in a related field.
- Secondary Teaching experience (preferred)
- Qualified teaching candidates should have an understanding of inquiry-based or project-based learning.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
