Order Selector - Second Shift

 Scavuzzo's Foodservice  is a family owned and operated organization seeking experienced order selectors for our second shift Order Selecting/Picking. Please indicate your order selecting/picking experience on your application or cover letter.

• Second shift - Order Selector - 5:00 PM to finish - 40 hours per week

Overview
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate will be responsible for picking orders and building pallets for delivery to customers accurately and quickly. (see position details below)

Full-Time warehouse positions start at $21.50 per hour plus incentives.

The 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate will be responsible for utilizing the Vocollect system to pull orders and build pallets quickly and accurately. Develops good relationships with all warehouse associates, complies with all company policies.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Picking and organizing whole orders with multiple products accurately and quickly, according to invoice, including completing appropriate paperwork.
• Load, unload and transfer product to correct slots and locations.
• Operating electric pallet jacks, receiving dock levelers and other warehouse machinery.
• Stock product in warehouse to include utilizing equipment and lifting and carrying merchandise to place on shelves.
• Inspect product for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workplace at all times to include moving pallets, sweeping, and successfully operate manual and electric power jacks.
• Follow all safety regulations and work in a safe and ergonomic manner.
• Stock product in a dry storage, cold storage, and freezer storage area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Placement Criteria

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, or 3-5 years in the field or in a related area, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience preferred;
• Previous order selecting experience required;
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is consistently required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must consistently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. and must be able to retrieve boxes consistently from a height of 5 ½ foot.
