As the Child Care Assistant Director/Teacher at SCC Early Childhood Centers, you will play a vital role in supporting the Director in managing daily operations and ensuring a high standard of care and education for our children. This position is essential to fostering an environment that promotes growth, learning, and development for both staff and students.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in overseeing daily operations of the center.
- Support staff in implementing educational programs that meet developmental needs of children.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and quality standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.
- Participate in staff training and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with families to support children's learning and development.
- Lead an Infant/Toddler classroom and monitor other classrooms and their activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts within the program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Strong background in education administration or program management.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with families and staff.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and support a team of educators.
- Familiarity with early childhood development principles is essential.
