Location: Bryson City, NC
Compensation: $12-14 per hour
Job Summary: Responsible for the daily duties of the Depot Café, including but not limited to food prep, customer service, cash handling, inventory control, merchandise, supply restocking, and facility upkeep.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checks with MOD for daily numbers and objectives.
- Preparing food for Depot Café, including box lunches.
- Provide customer service, information about the posted menu, have knowledge of food ingredients.
- Cash handling including accurate count of start-up and ending monies, accurate change counting, and accurate sales transactions.
- Ensure that the service is at all times performed in a professional manner and to the style as specified by Food & Beverage Management.
- Be in complete uniform at all times during shift.
- Adhere to company service standards, procedures, and policies.
- Maintain compliance with health department regulations.
- Maintain sanitary and safe food handling procedures.
- Pass out box lunches and assisting guests through cafe window.
- Assist with receiving, storage and proper handling of inventories.
- Assist with Food and Beverage in any other area or task.
- Attend trainings required by the company.
- Follow company cash handling procedure.
- Other duties as requested by GSMR management.
Work Environment:
- Flexibility with assigned work schedule(s).
- Kitchen equipment including but not limited to crockpot, toaster, air fryer, cutlery, and mandolin.
- Exposure to all types of weather.
Requirements
Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License preferred.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs repetitively.
- Must possess organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while prioritizing workload with a practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work.
- Ability to communicate successfully with a variety of personalities and function effectively as a member of a team.
- Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to constantly improve and adapt to changes easily.
- Must have a professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of Square and wireless technology to process payment transactions.
- Capacity for cash handling and daily reporting skills.
Salary : $12 - $14
