Compensation: $20-25 hr.
Job Summary: Schedule and dispatch work crews, equipment and service vehicles for conveyance of materials, freight or passengers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage safe and efficient movement of trains and MOW equipment while on GSMR trackage.
- Create and transmit mandatory directives.
- Coordinate all equipment movements between yard limits.
- Record required data to meet FRA and Company regulations.
- Coordinate train consist between crews and depot.
- Issue track warrants and bulletins. to ensure safety of all track-related movements.
- Compliance with GSMR procedures, safety and operating rules.
- Work with other departments as part of a team.
- Other duties as requested.
Work Environment:
- Work on and off the train in varied terrain in all weather during both daylight and dark hours.
- Work with mechanical shop setting and railyard during maintenance of locomotives, passenger’s cars, MOW equipment, etc.
- Varied schedule throughout the year dictated by train schedule and maintenance operations.
Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a train dispatcher
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
- Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
- Available to work nights, days weekends and some holidays.
- Must possess organizational skills with ability to multi-task while prioritizing workload with practical, flexible and innovative approach to work.
- Ability to communicate successfully with a variety of personalities and function effectively as a member of a team.
- Pre-Employment & Random Drug Testing program in compliance with company policy.
- Take & Pass GCOR Rules Test.
- Computer experience including Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
