What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Library Assistant Evening Floater position at Scenic Regional Library?
Scenic Regional Library is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a 16-22-hour Part Time Library Assistant Evening Floater position.
The Part Time Library Assistant Evening Floater provides coverage to different branches as needed due to absences, such as illness, medical leave, vacation leave, and position vacancies. Greets and assists Library users in the circulation area, performs general circulation routines, assists patrons in locating library materials, as well as other Library Assistant routines. This position may have other responsibilities and duties as assigned. This position will report directly to the Branch Coverage Supervisor.
Candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalency. Public library experience is preferred. Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays with short notice as well as be open to a flexible schedule. This position requires reliable transportation. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Starting wage of $17.26 per hour and paid time off (PTO) earned for hours worked. Mileage for travel between branches will be reimbursed by the library.
This position will have the following weekly schedule:
Tuesday Evening 1-8 PM
Thursday Evening 1-8 PM
Saturday 9AM – 5 PM
