**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of medical professionals at Scenic Rivers Health Services. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, focusing on daytime patient care while having the potential for cross-training in referral processes and patient scheduling.
The selected candidate will be responsible for updating patient charts, preparing patients for appointments, and reviewing medical concerns while ensuring accurate documentation for provider review. Additionally, they will assist medical providers as directed, administer medications and vaccines, and initiate prescriptions for review.
**Responsibilities:**
- Update patient chart information, including past and present medical histories, medications, allergies, and immunization records prior to appointments.
- Prepare patients for medical visits and/or treatments by reviewing relevant information and coordinating necessary supplies.
- Review and manage patient medical concerns, documenting essential information in patient charts for provider review.
- Order, monitor, and re-stock exam rooms and clinic areas with appropriate medical supplies before patient appointments.
- Assist medical providers as directed, adhering to established procedures.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and testing to patients following established protocols.
- Initiate prescriptions for provider review and refill, ensuring accurate documentation.
