DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The Director of Project Management & New Product Development will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of project management and leading the new product development (NPD) initiatives within the organization. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in project management and product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of project managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring that all projects and new products are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the company's goals and market demands.

What You'll Be Responsible For :

Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and cross-functional teams involved in new product development. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
Strategic Planning : Collaborate with senior leadership and product teams to develop and execute the project management and new product development strategy, aligning it with organizational objectives and market needs.
Project Oversight : Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects and NPD initiatives, ensuring adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
New Product Development : Drive the NPD process from ideation to launch, including concept development, prototyping, testing, and go-to-market strategies.
Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project and product development lifecycle.
Resource Allocation : Manage project and product development resources effectively, balancing workload across teams and optimizing the use of tools and technologies to enhance productivity.
Risk Management : Identify potential project and product development risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project and product success.
Performance Monitoring : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project performance and NPD outcomes, implementing regular reporting mechanisms to communicate progress to stakeholders.
Budget Management : Oversee project and product development budgets, ensuring financial accountability and effective utilization of resources.
Process Improvement : Continuously assess and improve project management and new product development processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in delivery.

What You'll Need to Have :

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Product Development, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Previous experience in Beauty / personal care related fields.

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management and product development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and new product launches from initiation to market entry.

Strong understanding of new product development processes and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).

Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on results and innovation.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
