About Us:
We are a fast-growing $25M e-commerce fragrance company specializing in discounting and decanting high-end perfumes. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to help manage our financial records, accounts, and reporting.
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure the company’s financials remain accurate and up to date. This role requires strong attention to detail, experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software), and an understanding of financial best practices. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in an e-commerce business environment with inventory tracking and cost-of-goods calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and match company records.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and track outgoing expenses.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Record incoming payments, track outstanding invoices, and follow up with customers if needed.
- Inventory & COGS Tracking: Assist in reconciling inventory purchases and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Payroll Support: Help process payroll and ensure accuracy in employee compensation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare reports such as profit & loss (P&L), cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Sales Tax & Compliance: Track and assist with sales tax filings and 1099 vendor reporting.
- Month-End Close: Assist in closing financials at the end of each month to ensure accurate reporting.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Keep financial records up to date, ensuring transactions are categorized properly.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in an e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based business. 10 million company preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Familiarity with inventory accounting and COGS calculations.
- Experience handling sales tax, payroll, and compliance reporting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-Time: 15-20 hours per week
