Job Purpose :
Sceye is seeking an experienced Legal Director to oversee and manage the company’s legal affairs, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and providing expert legal guidance to our leadership team. This role will focus on supporting Sceye’s growth, particularly within the aerospace and technology sectors, and will be integral to mitigating risk and driving strategic initiatives forward.
What You’ll Do :
- Lead and manage Sceye’s legal department, including providing guidance on all corporate, commercial, and legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor, customer, and partnership agreements.
- Advise leadership on corporate governance, intellectual property, compliance, and employment law matters.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, business development / sales, finance and HR, to support business objectives while minimizing legal risks.
- Represent Sceye in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations.
- Partner with Sceye’s compliance lead to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and stay informed on any changes in relevant laws.
- Manage external legal counsel when necessary, ensuring cost-effective and timely resolutions.
- Support in M&A activities, partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Provide legal risk analysis and strategic advice to the executive team.
- Other duties as assigned.
