Summary of Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst is responsible for supporting the Family Health Resource (FHR) department by performing internal audits on all applications submitted to the Division of Public Assistance (DPA). Completes FHR internal audits to aid in increasing the accuracy and ongoing refinement of the Medicaid application process. The Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst will provide reports and training that support the team’s goals to increase revenue through assisting customer-owners to apply for third party insurance. The Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst is the primary contact with the DPA workers stationed on the ANMC campus, enabling clear and concise communication of the needs of FHR and DPA to further enhance the collaboration of the two parties.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health, Public Health, Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) years of experience working in Revenue Cycle, Public assistance enrollment; or demonstrated proficiency as Health Benefits Specialist III or Benefit Enrollment Specialist.
- Certification as a State of Alaska – Certified Application Counselor (CAC)
- Department of Veterans Affairs-Tribal Veteran Representative Training Certificate
- State of Alaska Hospital Presumptive Eligibility Training Certificate
Additional Qualifications for Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst:
- Two (2) years of experience or demonstrated proficiency as a Health Benefits Enrollment Analyst at Southcentral Foundation.

Salary : $26 - $34
