Events Specialist I :
Hiring Range $24.12 to $32.17
Pay Range $24.12 to $36.19
Events Specialist II :
Hiring Range $27.62 to $36.83
Pay Range $27.62 to $41.43
Summary of Job Responsibilities :
The Foundation (SCF) Event Specialist is responsible for managing the ongoing process of planning, coordinating, and executing of events, to include site visits, trainings, tours, external speaking engagement and contract deliverables. Works closely with the Learning Institute team to ensure communications strategy and materials for events are aligned with SCF vision, mission, goals, and SCF branding and style standards.
This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.
Qualifications :
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or equivalent experience through education or training.
Additional Qualifications for Event Specialist II :
1. Two (2) years of corporate event planning experience; OR demonstrated proficiency at the Event Specialist I at SCF.

Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training.
