About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mold Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal performance of our injection molding machines and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for mold setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to support efficient production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is located at our Charlotte, NC facility and offers a competitive salary range of $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and change out molds in injection molding machines to ensure efficient operation with minimal downtime.

• Diagnose and repair issues with injection molds and auxiliary equipment using a range of shop equipment.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machines and molds to maintain high-quality production standards.

• Maintain accurate documentation of mold changes, machine adjustments, and part inventories.

• Operate shop equipment such as milling machines, band saws, lathes, drill presses, and welders for mold and tooling maintenance.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to proactively address equipment and production needs.

What We Require

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Mold Technician or in a similar role within injection molding.

• Familiarity with operating shop equipment, including milling machines, band saws, lathes, drill presses, and welders (preferred).

• Strong mechanical expertise with knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.

• Proficiency with both powered and non-powered hand tools.

• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D CAD files for mold setup and adjustments.

• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet production schedules.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform manual tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., as well as push, pull, climb, stoop, and kneel as required.
