Manager - Intellectual Property

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensure creation and enforcement of intellectual property rights for the company in all countries with business operations and ensure the intellectual property rights of competitors are not infringed.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive intellectual property strategy.
• Facilitate filing processes and obtain patents and trademarks for Schaeffler at the respective patent and trademark offices.
• Provide advice on IP matters and related support for all affected entities of Schaeffler (e.g., R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain Management).
• Collaborate with international external service providers, especially with patent attorneys, for filing and defending intellectual property rights.
• Maintain complete overviews of all intellectual property rights and disputes of Schaeffler, including risk assessments and patent terms.
  
  

Your Qualifications

Required:

• Juris Doctorate Completed
• Patent Bar Completed
• 10 plus years' experience
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience leading a team of IP attorneys / Paralegals
• Experience working with in-house counsel
