Senior Rotational Lip Seal Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and proposing concepts for elastomer sealing systems.
• Collaborate with the project teams for product development and lead root cause analysis and problem solving for sealing-related issues.
• Provide training on relevant sealing standards to site associates.
• Use technical expertise in material science to interpret test and calculation results and develop test methods for seals.
• Align with suppliers on their capabilities and options for our sealing needs.
• Responsible for evaluating drawing changes and deviations, providing technical support for validation and quality.
  
  

Your Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and 5 or more years of practical experience or a Masters degree in engineering and 2 or more years of practical experience.
• Understanding of vehicle powertrain architectures and components.
• Basic understanding of electric machines and controls of hydraulics and heat transfer.
• Understanding of modelling and simulating of electric or mechatronic systems.
• Experience in sealing technology for mechanical or automotive engineering and design experience.
• Excellent analytical skills, and methodical approach to completing tasks.
• Experience in presenting engineering topics and moderating discussions.
• Experience in solving engineering problems.
  
  

Preferred:

• Academic or professional experience in material science, especially plastics technology or a related field.
