Responsibilities of a Diesel Technician / Mechanic:
- Perform inspection of customers’ diesel vehicles and give necessary repair recommendations to service advisors.
- Diagnose and repair diesel systems including engines, steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, and air conditioning.
- Full automotive troubleshooting and testing
- Routine inspections & maintenance
- System diagnostics
- Electrical diagnostics
- Need to identify client's concerns quickly
- Building upon your knowledge of industry-standard tools and equipment
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
- Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
- Maintains an organized, neat and safe bay
Requirements of a Diesel Technician / Mechanic:
- 2 years as a diesel technician / mechanic experience
- Strong knowledge base of light trucks and medium diesel duty trucks
- Previous experience or certification as a Ford Diesel Technician / Mechanic is a real plus
- Solid mechanical skills
- valid ASE Certification
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
