Responsibilities:

  • Footwear Backstock
    • Daily walk through each day. Empty cardboard boxes/ sweep floors, look for organization needs, filling needs, and inventory control 
    • Address and maintain organization of all fixtures, fixturing, and sign holders
    • Maintain aisles for associates to walk down
    • Address garbage and sweep floors. Address organization needs, filling needs, study sell through trends and patterns by shop/ product  
  • Freight/ Warehouse
    • Facilitate freight from the freight room to its final destination 
    • Organize and prioritize each shipment and transport to the store. Driving Scheels vehicles and maintaining an acceptable driving record to be a Scheels approved driver
    • Consistently check the freight room throughout the day for any product that needs to be brought up or to the warehouse or other attention
    • Understanding and participating in the footwear fright process daily. Including updating warehouse inventory
    • Notify applicable associates before transporting freight to the various departments
    • Coordinate with the support team for assistance if an area receives a large quantity of freight 
    • Scan in and pull items going in and out of the store and warehouse to maintain an accurate inventory 
    • Become and maintain a status of being a Scheels approved driver to operate Scheels owned vehicles

Education & Experience:

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED), one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work – Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates.  Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Schedule: 

Must be available to work assigned schedule, typically Monday through Friday.  Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, and holidays as needed. Average hours/week are 41 hours/week.
