Job Description
Scheffel Boyle is now hiring Seasonal Tax Preparers for the upcoming tax season. Hours will vary between days, evenings, and Saturdays beginning in January and ending in April of 2025 with overtime opportunity. These positions are great for job seekers wanting seasonal employment, or for students looking for resume material and professional experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, business, and trusts and estates
- Demonstrate knowledge, technical skills, and work quality
- Communicates with clients and follows up as needed
- Conducts tax consultations with clients and answers client questions as needed
- Uphold current firm and industry standards
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience completing individual returns and tax planning
- Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple returns of varying sizes and complexity while meeting all required deadlines
- Professional appearance, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Enrolled Agent (EA) certification a plus
