Schell Brothers is looking for an Innovation Support Technician to join our team as we continue to grow in the residential construction industry. This position supports our proprietary software platform but will sometimes involve support of other related systems.
General Duties:
· Assist Innovation Support Team (IST) with support request diagnostics:
o Receive support request from users
o Code research and bug fixing
· Assist IST in coming up with solutions to support requests:
o Test solutions in Developer environment
o Push code changes into production
o Respond to users with solutions
o Document solutions clearly
· Work with Development Team on development projects as needed:
o Coding, testing, and support
· Digital Documentation (Wiki):
o Document support findings, solutions
o Document new development features
o Write guides both for user troubleshooting and using features/functions of newly developed software
· Some assistance with IT Team including:
o Install and setup of hardware and software
o Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
o Repair desktop and laptop hardware
o Maintain technical documentation
Requirements
· Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012-2022, MAC OSX experience.
· Some Travel Involved & after hours/weekend work may be necessary.
o Work to be performed remotely and on site.
· Basic proficiency in various coding languages, specifically:
o PHP
o HTML
o SQL (MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server especially)
o JQUERY/JAVASCRIPT
o CSS
· Basic understanding of data structure
· Good technical writing skills
· Occasional physical requirements (usually when assisting the IT Team):
o Some heavy lifting (equipment setup)
o Ladder and power tool use
