Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking a paralegal with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to support the insurance defense litigation group in its Paramus, New Jersey office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Opening of files
- Drafting initial correspondence to adjusters
- Drafting pleadings
- Drafting discovery demands
- Drafting responses to discovery
- Working with legal assistant to monitor discovery and file necessary motions
- Preparing and serving HIPAA forms and calendaring for follow-up
- Arranging independent medical examinations
- Reviewing, organizing and forwarding medical records for examining physicians
- Maintaining insurance company guidelines in data management systems
- Communicating on behalf of attorneys to obtain information and following-up on assignments
- Maintaining digital filing
