What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources - Summer Internship position at Schenck USA Corp?
Schenck USA has an exciting opportunity for a 3rd year or later Human Resources student working toward their Bachelors or Masters in Human Resources! We are offering a paid Human Resources internship during the summer of 2025. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to key HR policies, laws, and best practices. The Human Resources Intern will report directly to the Director of HR.
As the HR Intern, you will assist with Special HR Projects including but not limited to:
- Update employee documents and procedures such as job descriptions and new hire orientation.
- Assist with performing HR compliance audits and related follow-ups.
- Assist with federal and state regulations, compliance requirements associated with USCIS (verify I-9 Form) IRS as well as EEOC, OFCCP, and etc.
- Maintain and update relevant Excel and Word documents with the assistance of leadership.
- Provide administrative support as needed (e.g., Data Entry, Filing, Retrieval and Distribution of mail).
- Assist with employee engagement activities.
Duration/details:
The internship will span 10-12 weeks during summer months, depending on the student's school and vacation schedule. You will work 30 - 40 hours per week, over a 3-month period. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (Hours are flexible).
