About the Role:
Schenck USA is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role will cover the Midwest region, with a focus on installing equipment, investigating technical issues, and providing customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission, calibrate, and service new or modified equipment at customer facilities to ensure full functionality according to specifications
- Analyze performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives to determine the nature and scope of problems
- Recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action based on findings
- Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs
- Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in mechanical discipline from a two-year college or technical school; Bachelor's Degree in engineering preferred
- 3 years as a field engineer; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mechanical and electrical skills with experience in a manufacturing type of environment
- Proficient in DVM, O-Scope, and instruments used in troubleshooting of electro schematics diagrams
- PLC/Automation skills
- Strong communication, math, and computer skills
- SAP experience preferred
