What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Director position at Schenker & Co AG?
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.) :
- Coordinates and works closely with capacity management and peers on daily field activities.
- Plans all aspects of operations in order to achieve the highest level of service at the lowest cost.
- Directs and implements all aspects of the operating plan for responsible SC facilities.
- Evaluates and measures actual cost results to plan and recommends changes as needed to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Discusses, develops, and implements alternatives to improve service to the customer.
- Ensures a safe / secure working environment at each facility through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures.
- Assist in selection and training of operations staff.
- Establishes and maintains positive employee relations and excellent internal communication.
- Compliance to operations standards and procedures.
- Establish accountabilities and processes to ensure required levels of productivity and organizational objectives.
