Warehouse Tooling Specialist
IN MUSKEGON, MI

Job Function:
The Warehouse Tooling Specialist will support, document, and track all administrative duties regarding tooling for Tool Design, Toolroom, Production Supervisors and prototype. Will also support the Production Manager in any additional tracking, reports or data entry tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists the Production Manager in all administrative documentation.
• Keeps Manager up to date for all Tool tracking and proper identification
• Creates purchase orders for tooling needs to hand to purchasing
• Prioritizes workflow according to expectations
• Self-evaluates to ensure best process and practices are being followed
• Creates and updates all new tools and assets into Manager
• Organizes and tracks all tools in the tool supply closet
• Tracks and analyzes usage of tooling
• Communicates updates with supervisors to give updates on PO’s and document needs or fill orders
• Works with production on Vendor relationships
• Quarterly and annual audits of all tooling
• Receive and visually inspect all incoming tooling (basic measurements may be needed)
• Tracks tooling spending to department budgets and provides needed reports
• Works according to Scherdel’s quality and environmental system requirements, and customer quality requirements
• Tracking PO’s by Supplier
• Tracking all Wire EDM jobs, both incoming and outgoing

Position Requirements:

• Ability to bend twist and stand for periods up to 8-12 hours
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs if required
• Ability to work repetitive tasks
• Must be able to perform duties in a fast-paced environment
