Surgical Services – RN Operating Room Circulator
Part Time – 48 hours/pay

Scheurer, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a registered nurse to work as a part time employee in the Surgical Services Department. The Operating Room Circulator RN is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in Surgical Services Ambulatory area for all patient populations.
The responsibilities of the Surgical Services RN include but are not limited to:
- Rotating through all specialties of Surgical Services (Ambulatory Surgery, Operating Room, Recovery Room)
- Preparing patients for surgery.
- Collaboration and caring for the patient during their Operative episode.
- Verification of Universal Protocol
- Giving SBARQ report
- Ensuring all specimens are handled correctly
- Documentation on electronic record
- Restocking of supplies and care of equipment
- Functioning as a team player
- Recovering patients from surgery.
- Discharging patients from Ambulatory Surgery
Requirements:
- The candidate must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Possess a current RN license from the Michigan State board of Nursing
- Two years of perioperative nurse experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within one year of hire date if not already achieved
