Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a Casual Staff Sonographer to produce ultrasound images in our modern, well equipped Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
- Experience in OB/Gyn, Abdomen and some Vascular required.
- Must have excellent understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and superior scanning abilities.
- Accurately performs all imaging exams as ordered in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
- Assist physicians with ultrasound guidance in invasive medical procedures such as biopsies, fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse imaging team is essential.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Applied Science or Certificate from an AMA certified ultrasound training program
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in OB/Gyn and Abdomen. Additional registries in vascular (RVT) and/or breast (BR) and/or cardiac ultrasound (RDCS) are helpful.
- Current BLS certification
