Job Title: Regional Warehouse Manager
Reports to: Timberlake Store Manager
Job Summary
The Regional Warehouse Manager directs all warehouse and delivery functions, including supervising warehouse staff. This position ensures efficient organization, security, and management of merchandise while overseeing daily operations and employee performance to maintain a high standard of service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain and organize merchandise in the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner.
- Secure merchandise in the warehouse and storage trailers, where applicable.
- Participate in maintaining inventory accuracy and performing physical inventories.
- Inspecting and approving the quality and quantity of merchandise received and shipped out.
Delivery and Logistics
- Prepare and organize delivery tickets and merchandise for scheduled deliveries.
- Coordinate with Store Managers to ensure customer deliveries are completed accurately and timely, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Check delivery tickets at least two days in advance of scheduled deliveries.
- Oversee delivery drivers’ daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicle service records are up to date.
- Use Dispatch Track software to route deliveries and track delivery team performance.
- Coordinate transfers and service calls.
Employee Supervision
- Direct and supervise delivery drivers, warehouse workers, inventory staff, temporary labor, and repair staff.
- Assist in screening warehouse employee candidates and administer Defensive Driving testing.
Compliance and Records
- Maintain repossessed merchandise Used Furniture Law Labels (VA only) and Sanitation Logs.
- Track inventory of required items such as gloves, blades, drills, and GPS devices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and receiving merchandise.
- Maintain general housekeeping tasks, including weather-related preparations as directed.
- Monitor and maintain stock of mandatory operational supplies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong supervisory skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- High level of customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and standards.
- Basic computer proficiency, particularly in inventory and routing software.
- Above-average organizational skills for managing warehouse operations efficiently.
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel items for extended periods.
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds using proper techniques.
- Perform visual inspections of merchandise and delivery documents.
