What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contracts & Claims Manager position at Schiavone?
Principle / Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Review Contract Documents, Project Plans, Requirements, and Specifications to support Entitlement in the preparation of the Change order and Claims;
- Prepare large Change Order Requests;
- Prepare Claims in Accordance with the Contract Dispute Process;
- Prepare Letters, Position Papers and other relevant documents required during the different disputes;
- Work with the Project Team to collect all the relevant documents;
- Review and Understand all Contract Documents and Assess Project Risks;
- Participate in the Strategic Assessment of Potential Claims;
- Make Recommendations to Management regarding Contractual Issues including change orders and claims submissions.
- Other Duties as Assigned and / or Requested Qualifications :
- REQUIRED :
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture
