Job Summary:
Schicker Ford of Union is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Parts Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers and service technicians in locating, ordering, and purchasing Ford automotive parts and accessories. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive parts sales, a strong understanding of Ford parts, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers and service technicians with parts inquiries in person, over the phone, and online.
- Identify and locate the correct parts using vehicle information, VINs, and manufacturer resources.
- Process parts orders, invoices, and payments efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and restocking shelves.
- Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on Ford parts, accessories, and promotions.
- Handle returns, warranties, and core exchanges in compliance with dealership policies.
- Keep the parts department clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an automotive parts department, preferably with Ford vehicles.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including OEM and aftermarket options.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to use parts cataloging software, dealership management systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and stand for extended periods.
