The Landscape Operations Manager at Bam Outdoor plays a critical role in driving safety, quality, and productivity in the field. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining the highest standards of performance. As a key member of the operations team, you will oversee crew performance, quality control, safety compliance, and job planning to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities :
- Safety & Compliance : Train and enforce all safety procedures and policies, ensuring crews work in adherence to safety standards
- Quality Assurance : Ensure all work meets the company's quality standards and customer expectations
- Training & Development : Oversee crew training, certifications, and development programs to build and improve crew capabilties
- Performance Management : Identify and support the development crew leaders and teams by providing education, training, and corrective measures
- Job Planning & Execution : Create clear, detailed job plans that include scope of work, task sequence, equipment requirements, and personnel qualifications. Ensure crews have the proper resources and follow efficient production processes
- Continuous Improvement : Regularly review and challenge existing job plans, optimizing procedures to enhance crew performance and job execution
- Scheduling & Logistics : Develop efficient crew schedules, considering job locations, equipment needs, crew skills, and other factors to maximize productivity.
- Collaboration : Act as a liaison between field operations and other departments, including administration, customer service, and management
- Preventative Maintenace Support :
- Additional : Follow all policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards.
Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is preferred.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
8 years of landscape experience, including 3 years as a manager is preferred, but may be flexible based on other qualifications.
Knowledge of local turf types, shrubs, groundcover, and seasonal color materials including
growth characteristics, appropriate maintenance techniques, and most common issues
Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software programs.
Must be able to move and / or lift up to 60 pounds consistently.
