Purpose: The Lab Technician II is responsible for executing intermediate-level tasks within the chemical laboratory, significantly contributing to the testing and analysis of chemical substances in a manufacturing setting. Primary Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
•Perform Intermediate Chemical Analyses and Testing: Conduct chemical analyses and tests following established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and consistency in results.
•Analyze Data and Identify Trends: Evaluate test data to identify patterns and trends, and prepare detailed reports of findings for senior laboratory staff and the operations team.
•Operate and Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning under the guidance of senior laboratory staff.
•Maintain Accurate Documentation: Keep precise and thorough records of all analyses, observations, and test results to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
•Train and Mentor Junior Staff: Provide training and mentorship to Lab Technician I staff, instructing them on proper laboratory techniques, safety practices, and SOPs.
•Ensure Sample Integrity and Storage: Manage the integrity and proper storage of samples to prevent contamination and ensure reliable test results.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
•Educational Requirements:
o High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
•Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Lab Technician I.
•Technical Skills:
o Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and techniques.
o Knowledge of Liquid Chromatography (LC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) is a plus.
