Jr Quality Engineer

Junior Quality Engineer Job Overview:

Assisting with ensuring that manufactured products meet established quality standards by designing and implementing inspection and testing procedures,

monitoring production processes, identifying defects, and taking corrective actions to maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing cycle;

they essentially act as the gatekeeper for quality by verifying that products conform to specifications and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Quality inspections:

Conduct routine inspections on products and components to verify compliance with established quality standards, including dimensional checks, visual assessments, and functional testing.

• Data collection and analysis:

Gather quality data through testing and inspection, analyze trends using statistical methods, and generate reports to identify potential quality issues.

• Process monitoring:

Monitor manufacturing processes to identify deviations from established procedures and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.

• Documentation and record keeping:

Maintain detailed quality documentation including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and process control charts.

• Root cause analysis:

Assist in identifying the root causes of quality problems by analyzing data and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions.

• Standard operating procedures (SOPs):

Understand and follow established SOPs related to quality control processes.

• Supplier quality management:

Support the evaluation of supplier quality by reviewing incoming materials and collaborating with purchasing teams to ensure supplier compliance.

• Continuous improvement:

Participate in initiatives to improve quality processes, identify areas for optimization, and suggest potential improvements.

• Training and development:

Actively participate in training programs to gain knowledge of quality methodologies, statistical analysis, and company-specific quality systems.

Skills and qualifications for a Junior Quality Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) principles
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
