- Name of the Job:
Design Lead
- Reports to: Director Business Unit America
- Summary:
The Design Lead is responsible for the design of the company?s new products and systems. They will perform various tasks in an engineering department including drafting blueprints, creating test prototypes, and overseeing the manufacturing process. This position will be the lead for the Design Engineering team and be the final sign off on all designs.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead Design Engineering team, managing schedules, planning and tracking project completion
- The creation of concepts and detailed designs for assemblies and devices and the
for the realization of necessary construction and production documents - BOM´s, Subassemblies and detail drawings
- Conducting Kick-Off and Design Review Meetings
- The documentation of the design with regard to the traceability of detail solution finding
- The creation of designs and specifications of new parts
- Editing changes
- The support of sales in the preparation of quotations (quotation drawings, feasibility studies, etc.)
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in the design and development of product.
- Lead technical problem-solving efforts, leveraging engineering knowledge to resolve issues across multiple areas, such as materials, systems integration, and manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate design solutions into broader systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality
- Conduct design reviews, present technical findings, and communicate result to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for product design and development.
- Provide guidance on design verification and validation
- Stay up-to-date with technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve designs
- Responsible for change requests also handling and documentation in SAP (ECR)
- Define specifications for purchased parts
- Technical lead on all design questions for other Design Engineers
- Full support of production
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor?s degree in engineering (Minimum)
- Graduate degree (Preferred)
- The job holder must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

- Strong working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) or engineering software
- Impeccable attention to detail

- 10 years of experience
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing preferred.
Expected Salary: $120,000.00 to $140,000.00
