Overview:
We are seeking a Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and operating the cash register in a retail environment.
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide assistance with their shopping needs
- Process sales transactions accurately using a Point of Sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves
Skills:
- Proficiency in retail math for handling transactions
- Knowledge of appliance sales and technology sales is a plus
- Strong grasp of basic math skills for accurate cash handling
- Ability to upsell and cross-sell products effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing payments
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience conducting product demos is beneficial
- Proficiency in operating a cash register
