Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A successful Cashier will also assist with product demonstrations and support retail sales efforts.

Duties

• Operate the cash register, processing customer transactions quickly and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing assistance and answering questions regarding products and services.
• Sell products by engaging customers and promoting special offers or new items.
• Conduct product demos to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while adhering to company policies for cash management.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interactions.
• Familiarity with cash register operations is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
