What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Laborer position at Schlouch Incorporated?
Schlouch Inc. has been Eastern PA’s leading site/civil contractor since 1983 and is still growing! We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a reliable person to join our team as a Site Laborer. Site Laborers are expected to perform tasks which could involve underground utility installation, concrete masonry, asphalt paving, and grading work on residential and commercial job sites in a 75 mile radius of Reading, PA. The Site Laborer position has excellent potential for growth and advancement and is well suited to the individual looking to grow their career in the trade industry. Mentoring and training will be provided to the ideal candidate.
The ideal Site Laborer candidate is expected to do or learn the following:
- Work independently and as a member of a crew on active job sites
- Perform manual/physical labor/lift at least 50 pounds
- Work in varied weather and site conditions including confined spaces
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Understand basic math and ability to read a tape measure
- Understanding or willingness to learn masonry, pipework, paving and machine operation is a plus
Salary / Hourly Wage: starting at $22.50 / hr based on experience
