Job: Production Associate I
Reports To: Shift Supervisor/Plant Manager
Shift: 2nd shift (2 pm – 10:30 pm) – 1 position
Requirements:Primary Responsibilities
- Operate Mixing and Packaging Equipment in a Safe and Productive Manner
- Understand production standards and perform quality inspection of product as required.
- Input Data for production reporting.
- Adjust HMI for the bagging machines.
- Make product changeovers as needed, including bag film, chemicals, pallets and slip sheets.
- Communicate with Supervisor on Safety, Quality, and Production issues.
- Comply with occupational safety regulations including LO/TO
- Use correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintain good housekeeping on production floor.
- Report any spills or Hazards to Supervisor
- Report any safety issues to Supervisor.
- Maintain chemical hopper levels.
- Trouble shoot equipment to keep operational.
- Performs tasks related to machine cleaning and minor preventative maintenance repairs as directed.
- Operate a forklift safely storing finished goods and retrieving raw materials.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities
- 1-3 years of experience as a machine operator in an industrial environment preferred.
- Computer Competency
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Above average Math Skills
- Familiar with operation of automated production equipment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and utilize material handling equipment.
- Familiar with forklift operation
- Team Player works well with others.
