What are the responsibilities and job description for the UMR Production Associate I - 3rd Shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am) position at SCHLUTER SYSTEMS L.P.?
General Description:
The Production Associate is responsible for various tasks on the production floor as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors
- Demonstrate daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance
- Treat quality as a key pillar of our success by always doing the right thing for our customers
- Solve problems daily by working together as an engaged team member
- Unpackage and prepare raw material for use in production
- Retrieve and prepare work in process parts for the next production process
- Prepare finished products for inventory by assembling packaging material, labeling, taping, stacking, inspecting, and recording information
- Help in the relief of breaks as needed
- Maintain records and documentation
- Other projects and tasks as assigned
Experience:
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Sound communication skills and excellent problem-solving ability
- Possess skills required to improvise and adapt where needed
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Represent the company in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner in all matters
- Comply with occupational safety regulations
- Work in shifts and overtime as required.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
