The goal of the Marketing Generalist is to support the marketing and revenue generation activities of Schmidt Security Pro. The primary responsibilities of this role will revolve around developing, executing, and measuring strategic marketing and communications plans to promote Schmidt Security Pro and Schmidt Fires products and services within the North Central Ohio region. Day-to-day responsibilities will include : current customer outreach; managing our social media presence; developing advertising campaigns to attract new customers; coordinating events; and helping with internal projects.

Primary Job Accountability :

Promoting Schmidt Security Pro and Schmidt Fire within the North Central Ohio region.
Coordinating initiatives that support the generation of new business with current and potential customers.
Working closely with the sales team to assist with projects that drive new business.
Identifying potential targets and working to gain their business through effective campaigns.

Successful candidates will possess the following :

Bachelors degree or 2 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or advertising. Individuals should also have solid experience in managing and leading SEO / SEM, social media, email and marking database campaigns.

Proficient computer skills for generating reports, viewing marketing metrics, extracting data, and sharing this information with other team members in project updates. A working knowledge of basic computer applications, programs and features is a must with experience in web page development or graphic design being very helpful.

Strong interpersonal skills for representing the company in public events, trade shows, and prospecting activities.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills to articulate clearly with various departments, vendors, contractors, and customers.

Efficient time management and prioritizing skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously. Being familiar with project management software is also an asset.

Possess effective soft skills and ability to work as a team player with all departments

Able to follow company policies, guidelines, and core values

Previous experience in marketing or a related position is preferred.
