Job Description:
The Greensboro, NC office is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer to join our growing practice. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform stability analyses, reinforced concrete design, and steel design for water and earth retaining structures associated with dams, spillways, buildings, and other hydraulic structures
- Prepare design drawings, reports, and technical specifications
- Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures
- Provide periodic construction observation and consultation
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong work ethic and desire to perform professionally at a high level
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Experience with computer-aided structural analysis
- Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel
- Ability to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders and work outside in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience of up to 3 years in structural engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and Bluebeam
- Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
The compensation range for an Entry-Level Structural Engineer is between $57,200 to $86,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
