Description:
- Assist walk in showroom customers with a consultative approach and exceptional customer service to identify needs and provide service throughout the entire sales process (order, delivery, installation).
- Visits job sites to accurately measure and estimate costs, including various flooring material/layouts.
- Read and interpret floor plans to prepare and calculate quotes.
- Convey accurate product lead times, specify special order requirements, and expediated shipping requests to manufacturers.
- Coordinate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and team members to streamline project timelines and ensure any revisions necessary are communicated effectively and accurately.
- Attend product training and remain current on all products and related promotions.
- Assists with preparing the showroom floor by: Placing new products on the showroom floor as they arrive from the manufacturer; Ensuring products have appropriate makers/stickers/pricing booklets available; Removes discontinued products when drop notices are received.
Requirements:
- Prior sales and estimating experience in flooring required with the ability to provide precise measuring, including the ability to adjust and calculate fine measurements.
- Prior experience in custom kitchen and bath design preferred.
- Excellent time management, record keeping, and project management skills.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate professionally with staff, customers and vendors.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work days/evenings as scheduled.
