Principal Project Design Leader (Finance)

What will you do?

Lead and execute Circuit Breaker MCCB / ACB projects.
Lead the Engineering project teams and different technologies for the development of new Offers or the evolution of existing Offers. Manage a dedicated technical team in Electromechanics / Electrotechnology, produce technical specifications, guarantee performance and robustness, and contribute to cost targets.
Responsible for team management regarding workload, project engineering expenses, and planning, in collaboration with resource managers and scrum masters.
Provide business support at the SQUAD level for technical decisions, technical risks management, and design feasibility commitments.
Support Global Supply Chain Manufacturing Plants in North America during the execution and implementation of engineering projects.
Validate bills of materials and CAD drawings in accordance with technical specifications, customer expectations, and supply chain constraints.
Execute assigned product design changes according to technical specifications using dedicated tools.
Conduct engineering analysis activities, including Thermal, Electromagnetic, Dynamical, and Structural, to ensure product performance, quality, and reliability.
Create and execute verification & validation plans in SE laboratories and analyze results, sharing reports with internal and external customers.
Design offers from technical specifications to meet customer value expectations and quality goals.
Interpret test results and synthesize data into technical reports for effective communication.
Lead the creation and update of Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (xFMEAs) documents.
Provide mentoring and coaching to other senior engineers or functions.
Contribute to knowledge and know-how development and sharing.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or related field. Master's in science is a plus.

10 years of relevant experience in electromechanical mass production industries.

AGILE Methodology knowledge and experience - SCRUM.

Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and 3D CAD Modeling skills.

Experience in electrical product testing and evaluation methods (UL / CSA / NOM / IEC / CCC / ANSI).

Knowledge of CAE (Ex, Structural, Thermal, Kinematics, etc.) is a plus.

Strong understanding of engineering principles and methodologies.

Familiarity with metal stamping, thermoset and thermoplastic molding processes.

Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly techniques.

Deep knowledge of circuit breaker products, theory, and application.

Travel required ~20% - Travel in NAM and International.
