What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Engineering Intern - Summer 2025 position at Schneider Electric?
Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Application Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in building automation and contribute to the success of construction projects. This role will be in our Charlotte, NC area.
What will you do?
- Conduct checks on VAV (Variable Air Volume) boxes and wiring panels for digital building control platform
- Perform checkouts of controller boxes, air handle controller, dampers, temperature readings, and fans to ensure they are operational and follow the sequence of operations
- Conduct functional testing of building automation systems
- Working at jobsites and performing field tests
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Educational background or skills in engineering, electrical/mechanical, and HVAC services a plus
- HVAC trade experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work fast-paced environment
- Strong conflict management and attentive communication skills
