Downstream Planner

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a skilled and proactive Downstream Planner to join our team in El Paso, Texas. The ideal candidate will be primarily accountable for developing production plans based on production line capacity and customer priorities..

What will you do?

• Develop production plan based on production line capacity and customer priority.
• Monitor and ensure production executes according to plan.
• Analyze issues of production not being able to execute according to plan and communicate the issue to the right function for resolution.
• Analyze material allocation within production and Distribution Center demand and request for re-allocation if necessary, to maximize production output.
• Identify critical material shortages and collaborate with Replenishment team, Transport team and Warehouse Inbound team to discuss solutions.
• Communicate with customers based on their expectations and delivery schedule. This may include request for expediting delivery dates, modification, or cancellation of order.
• Communicate customer special requirements to production team.
• Prepare status and performance reports.
• Track late delivery to internal customers and backlog activity

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required. Equivalent experience and skills can be substituted for education
• 1 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing setting
• Proficient with using computers and advanced knowledge with applications (access, excel)
• Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems is preferred
• Effective communication, facilitation, and strong negotiation skills in English
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to plan and organize effectively and strong decision-making skills
• Strong relationship and collaborative management skills
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
