Industrial Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Job Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting equipment problems, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electromechanical systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment problems resulting from mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions
- Install, maintain, dismantle, repair, overhaul, and rebuild electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment
- Perform welding fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and electrical repairs or wiring associated with other work to construct, install, and maintain structures, fixtures, and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance duties including cleaning, inspecting, lubricating
- Read and edit PLC programming
- Analyze equipment problems resulting from mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions
- Examine such items as indicator lights, hand and foot controls, sensing devices, and emergency stop switches
- Use a wide variety of hand tools, equipment, and instruments in performing maintenance to specifications of wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, blueprints, manuals, schematics, and other instructions
- Responsible for automated equipment operations, setup, and maintenance
Requirements
- 2-year degree in electromechanical, electronic technology, or equivalent education
- Minimum of two years of electromechanical work experience OR five plus years of experience in a related field
- Basic microcomputer skills necessary to understand the operation and interfacing characteristics of microprocessors
- Experience in PLC operations to include basic system configurations and hardware, data manipulation, data communications, advanced programming commands, interfacing, troubleshooting, application, and program development
- Knowledge of welding safety, welding equipment, proper selection of type, wire, settings, and material preparation
- Familiarity with standard recognized troubleshooting practices
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints/wiring diagrams or schematics
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Work Environment
This position requires regular attendance in accordance with the current Attendance Policy. Directs and assists trainees and other personnel. Records information on electronic or paper forms for record-keeping purposes.
